Lucasfilm is not going forward with Patty Jenkins and Kevin Feige's 'Star Wars' movies

Soap2day – People say that two "Star Wars" movies have been put on hold. "Star Wars: Rogue Squadron" was supposed to be directed by "Wonder Woman" director Patty Jenkins, but the movie is now said to be put on hold.

Sources have told Variety that Lucasfilm is no longer working on the movie. The publication also says that Kevin Feige, who runs Marvel Studios, isn't making any progress on a "Star Wars" movie.

But Taika Waititi is still rumored to be working on a "Star Wars" movie, which he will probably star in if it gets made.

Jenkins said in December that she didn't know if "Rogue Squadron" "will happen or not." In a statement, she said, "Sigh ... I'm not one to talk about other people's jobs, but I won't let false information go on. Here are the facts: I left Rogue Squadron after a long and productive development process when it became clear that it couldn't happen soon enough and I didn't want to delay WW3 any more. When I did, Lucasfilm asked me if I would be interested in returning to RS after WW3. I was honored to be asked, so I agreed. They gave me a new deal. In fact, I'm still working on it, and that project has been going strong since then. I don't know whether or not it will happen. We never do that until the development process is done, but I'm excited about what it could become."

Jenkins, who directed the first two "Wonder Woman" movies in which Gal Gadot played the title character, said in the same statement that she did not "walk away" from the "Wonder Woman" franchise, even though "Wonder Woman 3" was not expected to go forward at DC Studios.
